Erie, PA – Finish Thompson Inc., a global leader in manufacturing chemical transfer pumps, has added a new model to its ULTRAChem® lineup of heavy-duty ANSI dimensional mag-drive sealless centrifugal chemical pumps. The new UC436L pump extends Finish Thompson’s product line coverage for transferring the harshest types of industrial fluids such as sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide and sodium hypochlorite.
ULTRAChem (UC) Series pumps are engineered for maximum reliability in the most extreme chemical processing applications, including offering superior corrosion resistance over other pump constructions. The company currently offers 18 ULTRAChem pump models to cover a wide range of flow and head requirements.
Performance features of the new UC436L pump include smaller impeller diameters compared to the high flow UC436, down to 4.25”; maximum flow rates of 440 gpm (100 m3/hr) at 3500 rpm and 457 gpm (104 m3/hr) at 2900 rpm; heads up to 164 feet (50 meters) at 3500 rpm and 115 feet (35 meters) at 2900 rpm; and a minimum flow rate of 5 gpm (1.1 m3/hr). It is constructed from tough ductile iron with ETFE lining for superior corrosion resistance and is manufactured in the USA.
Sealless centrifugal chemical pumps are designed to transfer fluids that other pumps can’t safely handle. The UC436L joins Finish Thompson’s line of proven mag-drive pumps that use powerful magnets to transmit drive force to other magnets inside the pump to rotate the impeller, thus eliminating the need for a mechanical seal. With no seal to wear out or leak, these pumps last longer than pumps with sealed designs and require less maintenance.
